Welcome to our Tony David Baseball Camps at Samford University. We offer baseball camps for all ages starting with 5 year olds through graduated high school players. Head Coach Tony David will continue to run the daily baseball camp operations as he has here at Samford for the last 20 years to continue our camps to run as well as the always have for our families.
Our Youth Camps are designed for the development of all ages, skill level and experience. We will have a large number of entering Kindergarten campers that are learning the game and getting the growth of being away from family for those 3 hours a day for a week. The instruction is more detailed as the campers age including pitching instruction for the appropriate age group. The campers will learn a lot about the game and have fun doing it.
The Samford Baseball team has continued its incredible success winning a part of Southern Conference Championships for the 4th time in the last 6 full seasons (3 NCAA tournaments in that time) as the set the record for the most home runs in program history the last two seasons. Head Coach Tony David was named the Coach of the Year in 2023 and the program has seen 5 players head to the MLB the last two years.
The Camps will remain on our beautiful campus and our outstanding college baseball facility which dramatically adds to the camp experience for the players. It is important to the process for them to learn from our staff and players and do it on the field, indoor cages, and locker room that those guys use daily here at the collegiate level.

The Samford baseball has become one of Top Power Hitting baseball programs in the nation over the last decade and built the teams success around player development. The Youth Baseball Camps at Samford have had amazing growth every year for all ages and are player centered. The camps are designed to teach each player the fundamentals while also ensuring that the player leaves the camp having had a great time with positive thoughts about baseball.
Camps feature low player-to-coach ratio to allow for personalized instruction for best possible growth for the players REGARDLESS OF ABILITY LEVEL. The Samford Baseball Coaching staff invites you to attend its baseball camps this summer. There are camps for all ages designed specifically for the players in those age groups to maximize their camp experience to become better players and enjoy the game.
The Samford Baseball team has now won championships in 4 of the last 5 full seasons with Southern Conference Championships in 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2023. In the NCAA Tournament this year beat #13 USM in 2018 the team defeated #7 Florida State in the NCAA Tournament before falling to Mississippi State 9-8 to end their season. The program has one of the highest winning percentage of any team in the state of Alabama since 2011 while having 35 players drafted in the MLB draft in that period of time. Built on hitting for power, the team set a record for home runs in 2023. Of those 35 players, 11 were considered impact drafts in the top 10 rounds - including Philip Ervin as a 1st Round Pick to the Reds.
A large number of our current and former players will help make up our staff for the camps.
We invite you to join us for an outstanding baseball experience with Samford Baseball.
